CNVRAC Parent Programs

Welcome to the Central Naugatuck Valley Regional Action Council’s PARENT PAGE! Here you will find links and contact information for parent support groups, important prevention resources, and the Local Prevention Council that serves your community. Caring Parents and willing volunteers are a vital component this groups.

In addition to finding ways to become involved and to be supported, you will find links to educational and interactive resources for parents of children of all ages. Whether your child is entering kindergarten or college, there are tools to help you talk about the tough issues, to have healthy conversations around good decision making, taking care of our bodies, and knowing who to turn to for help in any situation.

Do you want support to set realistic boundaries and expectations? Do you have a question about laws and legislation that affects our kids safety? Do you have an important opinion or technique to share that has helped you raise a drug free family? If you answered “YES!” to any of the above questions, then this is the place for you.

Take your time, explore this page, and let us know what we can do to improve it, so that your needs are always being met.The CNVRAC believes that substance abuse prevention starts at home. Whether you are a parent, or parenting, we want to support your efforts to raise children into healthy, happy, successful adults.
